Trust in God
We must remain faithful in our journey.
"Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…" Exodus 23:25
When an individual is fighting cancer, there may be times he or she can clearly see God working in his or her life for the better. There may even be times when you may not discern or understand His wisdom in a cancer diagnosis, but it is on such occasions that we especially need to trust His will and have faith that He is working things out for His glory. On your darkest days, you may even question Him, "Are you in control of my cancer?" or "Why are you doing this to me?" This is a completely normal response. After all, cancer tests all aspects of our health - even our spiritual wellbeing.
Our team of volunteers and survivors want you to know you're not alone in your battle. Do not let the pain and fear you're experiencing during this difficult time replace your belief that God is in charge. God does not want to see you suffer. We encourage you to remember that God uses ALL things for good.
One of the easiest ways to reset your mindset is to practice gratitude. We know it can be hard to do, but a grateful heart can make a world of difference. Take a moment and list three ways He is helping you to cope with your cancer. It may be that God has brought you closer to a relative or that you're savoring the little moments and taking a step back from the hustle and bustle. We included a few prompts below to get you started.

Practice gratitude each day and look for words of encouragement in your Bible. We want to leave you with one final verse.
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
If you or someone you love was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, please contact Hope for the Journey. Our services include spiritual counseling and support. We want to ensure that no woman walks this journey alone. Let us pray.
"Lord, your Word speaks promises of healing and restoration, and we thank you for miracles. Today, I claim those promises over my friend. I believe in the healing power of faith and prayer and I ask you to begin your mighty work in the life of my friend. Please reach down and surround my friend with your peace and strength and give her the faith to believe that all things are possible for you. Protect her from Satan's lies and discouragement and let her miraculous healing begin. Amen."
